North Conway Area Climbing Schools

Our Mt. Washington hotel is conveniently located in North Conway, NH, near the Maine border on US-302 / White Mountain Highway, making it close to all the area attractions.

EMS Climbing School
The Eastern Mountain Sports Climbing School was started in Boston in 1968, and currently has 4 major locations and 7 satellite locations throughout the East, making it the oldest and largest climbing school in the eastern U.S. Along with the Climbing School, Eastern Mountain Sports operates a Kayak School and Ski School. Special programs have also been added to accommodate handicapped and disabled participants. Since the inception of the first School, the mission has been to provide the best outdoor experience possible.

International Mountain Climbing School
Ice climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering in New Hampshire's White Mountains. For over 30 years, IMCS has been guiding folks and teaching them the skills to be safe and proficient in the mountains. Mount Washington is the training ground, home of the "World's Worst Weather." And with world class climbing locations such as Cathedral Ledge, Whitehorse Ledge, the Frankenstein Cliffs and Cannon Cliff, they can teach you the skills you need to enjoy the mountains for years to come.

Mooney Mountain Guides
Mooney Mountain Guides is a New England-based year round mountain guide service and climbing school. Their climbing instructors specialize in guiding, small groups and personal instruction. Offered are enjoyable private guided climbs, climbing lessons and courses for all ages and abilities. In addition to guided rock & ice climbs, they offer Mount Washington climbs and ski mountaineering tours.
